We’ve been discussing how Data and Data Quality matter to a business’s digital marketing efforts and their online footprint. We’ve discovered how it affects your business and what it can mean for the bottom line. But there’s another important factor in this equation: the consumer.

Consumers are the driving force of almost any business, and without them there would be no business at all. We’ve touched on consumers before in this series, but today we take a deeper dive into how data quality ultimately affects them––and their wallets.

An inherent component of marketing is considering and predicting how a target audience thinks: What is important to them? What kinds of things will most resonate with them? How will they react? And, especially, how they will act? The digital and mobile elements are especially important to consider. With mobile, consumers don’t have to wait for information: A study from April 2014 found that 80% of users who search on their mobile phone are likely to make a purchase (compared to other online devices). 75% of those mobile phone searches resulted in a user going to a brick-and-mortar store to make that purchase.

This is why we at Where2GetIt and Brandify are so concerned with data quality: We want your business to be found by consumers through search. It’s important to be on the first page of a search results. It’s important that each business location’s data is accurate, including NAP (name, address, phone number), store hours, etc. And it’s important that a brand is aware of what consumers think about them.

This is where Brandify comes in. Brandify puts businesses in control of their online presence: Brands can now easily see where their missing, inaccurate or duplicate data lies and allows those errors to be easily and permanently rectified.

Furthermore, Brandify not only monitors the digital landscape but is also a tool for brands to communicate with their customers. Online reviews are a great meter to see what people are saying about your brand and the experiences they are having. Brandify compiles reviews from the Big Six ( major online platforms like Yelp and Google) and even allows for search capabilities within those reviews to find out what people are saying.
